It makes sense for Microsoft to spin the leaks as being no big deal, but that’s bullshit. Is Microsoft gonna argue that it wouldn’t have been way cooler and more shocking if their upgraded machine was a total secret? Read more

It’s awesome! As a PC owner, and someone who primarily plays games on the PC, I can’t get upset about more PC ports, so long as they’re quality! The idea of being able to play 1080p, 60fps Halo 6, rather than having to worry about upgrading my Xbox One to Scorpio? Thanks! Read more
Microsoft’s first-party development is...strange. They seem to be in a huge transition. Where’s the ambition that you see from Sony, with games like The Last Guardian, Horizon, and Days Gone? Maybe all three of those games end up sucking, but it’s nice to see Sony trying. Read more
I’m not sure they have to. The only reason they were making a Prey 2 in the first place was because Prey was an existing franchise. Calling the new one Prey, even if it had no connections whatsoever, is pretty meaningless. Would a new name be a better choice? Maybe, but names are fleeting; I just hope it’s a kick ass… Read more
It seems like they played the best hand they had, and given how people responded to the game, I’d say it worked out for them. If they have a bunch of other games with that sort of ambition waiting in the wings...well, bring it on, NX. Read more
Everyone was talking about The Legend of Zelda (shocking!), but people were also buzzing about Horizon, since the playable portion they were showing to press was pretty dang good, if limited. Read more
I believe Stephen played it, but none of us are big Gears guys. I fear Gears of War 4 is going to be an echo of Halo, in which the developers are more concerned with proving they can make a competent Gears of War game than making the new game unique and interesting. I’m not saying every series needs to show a… Read more

Well, Dishonored 2 has a chance to be GOTY, so I’m not exactly gonna get upset at that game taking the spotlight. That said, Bethesda is also in a transition year, between major Bethesda Game Studios releases, and they’re still figuring out how to put together an entertaining show when Todd Howard isn’t leading the… Read more
It was turned into a parking garage, I think? It used to be wonderfully bizarre to walk through...just endless booths full of weird junk. Read more
Yes, we’ll be doing ‘E3 favorites’ lists for myself, Stephen, and Jason! Stay tuned for those. That’s in addition to the other coverage we’ll be rolling out...I need to start working on my interviews! Read more
I’m not sure anything was more uncomfortable than Final Fantasy XV’s demo at the Microsoft press conference. Read more
Maybe a documentary on the Blu-ray disc or something? I can’t imagine Sony has any interest in actually revitalizing Crash Bandicoot, but if the remasters take off in some spectacular way, maybe they could work with Naughty Dog to find another developer to take it on. It’s hard for me to imagine Naughty Dog will ever… Read more
Yes, it’s a video game. No, I don’t know if it’s any good. Read more

Hard to say much more without knowing more about the consoles. We’ll have a clearer picture when Sony reveals what’s going on with Neo later this year. (Hopefully I can report more on that soon...) Read more
It’s more that we can’t get in front of the long lines to see the games without help from the company in question. Given that we have limited time and resources, waiting two hours to see a game isn’t necessarily the best use of our staff. (I heard For Honor was looking great, though.) Read more
From what I understand, the Resistance franchise is dead right now. Read more
It makes sense attendance would be down, as several of the companies weren’t even there! EA was one of the highest trafficked booths in years past, and they weren’t on the show floor. EA’s event was kind of a clusterfuck, though, so I’m not sure how they felt about whether it was worth leaving the convention. I’m… Read more
