That is a massive bummer to hear about the crappy sub system. I’ve been training in BJJ now for about 8 years and I’m still waiting for a satisfying grappling game. I honestly think it’s probably never going to come, since the endless possibilities and flexibilities of grappling will never be able to be replicated in Read more

Two times. TWO TIMES on Ilios, they were at 99% with a sizable lead over Philly... then they lost both points. In a row. Read more

Dallas’ matches are never boring because you’re guaranteed at least one or two moments of gleeful, impossibly skillful madness, but they’re pretty much always infuriating because this team still hasn’t figured out how to put it all together and play to their potential consistently. Read more

I know there were some good reasons for a least portions of this nerf, but it always sucks to see a support unit nerfed in almost any online game; god knows I have a hard enough time finding teammates that don’t just want to go for highest kills, no matter what the game/objective. Read more

Reading this, I can see why there is an appeal towards getting all the screens and cameras appropriated with sports. The more the merrier, although I would love to know if it’s possible to have a multicamera setup with such a game like PUBG. Read more

And don’t forget the commentators who can easily make the game into a entertaining and even funny experience with witty banter and good commentating. The bad ones have horrible knowledge of the game, eg. don’t know the correct terms for the units, weapons and just make stuff up on the fly. Read more

You bring up a great point about how the game tries to make the UFC boring, only focusing on fights with a light emphasis on training. When really it should try to be even more outlandish, like a WWE game with weird random gimmicks regularly happening to keep the game fresh. Because after playing UFC 1 and 2, I have Read more

I appreciate any game that lets me create a hideous monster of a character and laugh my ass off the entire time I play. Read more

Staxel is definitely very much a proof of concept that now needs a game to go with it. It worked out for Starbound, failed for Astroneer (so far) and most other Early Access games like this, totally depends here on how much support the devs are willing to give it before they get bored or move on to greener pastures.

Crippling depression combined with a pathological need to retreat into comfort zone games when I’m feeling down, on top of retail therapy. I’d rather put my thousandth hour into Skyrim, Fallout 3/NV/4, Minecraft, or UT 2K4 than actually try to engage something new. I was doing good back in 2016. I made goal to finish Read more

The fact that I have like 50 other games I own that I haven’t started yet hahaha. I like to call it backlog paralysis. Read more

For me, it’s mostly that another game just calls to me more. Maybe that’s a new game I’ve been looking forward to or maybe it’s an older game I get an itch to replay. Or maybe I’m in the middle of some TV show and just don’t have time for a new game, especially if I know how much of a time commitment it’ll be. Or Read more

The thing about competitive trash-talk is that it comes in “levels.” Those levels are divided into what’s appropriate amongst friends who know each other well enough to be able to accept a barb without taking offense, mixed groups of friends and acquaintances where more care is warranted, groups of strangers where Read more

I am a big fan of the auto spirit vision mod. That makes the game far more playable. It feels more like a bug fix than a cheat because walking around and mashing the spirit vision on cooldown is tedious as hell. Read more

Their reasons make even less sense when you consider that the teams have more than six players. In the pre-season they were making substitutions left and right. If you want a fully functioning 6-person team right out of the gate, I understand that, but you have several other players waiting in the wings already to Read more

This is so stupid. Excuses excuses excuses.

“Returning home for the holidays is kinda weird these days. I’m nearly the age my parents were when they had me, but I’m nowhere near settling down. I’m not a kid by any means, but I don’t feel entirely like an adult, either.” Read more

aw yeah, saw this bunch open for Dillinger Escape Plan last fall. Picked up the album while I was there, they closed with Way Too Long and it sold me. love their eclectic mix of sounds and instruments. really interesting band. Read more
