Whoa, Conker just made an appearance in the Project Spark video reel. "Almost ten years without a new game. Guess we'll have to make our own!" Read more

Time for Project Spark, Microsoft's game-creation toolkit. Spark's a really cool idea that doesn't always come across in demos, so this should be interesting. Read more

The multiplayer beta of Fable Legends will begin this fall. Read more

Fable Legends looks cool - it's a co-op game, the basic version of which is basic third-person action/adventure. But you can also play as the villain, which is more of a Dungeon Keeper kinda thing, laying traps and hazards out for the other players from an overhead view. Nifty. Read more

Insomniac's Ted Price is pretty psyched about Sunset Overdrive.

There are these nifty (or, "nifty"?) screens beneath the Xbox One stage that show various scenery for each game trailer that's running. For Dragon Age, it was some mystical fog rocks.

Assassin's Creed Unity looks typically Assassin's Creedy at the outset, with slightly smoother animations and cloth effects. Even some weird animation hitches and framerate stutters as the guy sneaks through some crowds - which makes me think it really is live. Really rich colors, beautiful artwork everywhere. Read more

Our wristbands just started going crazy during the Forza trailer. Which means we're closer than ever to the moment they explode.

Then again, because of this job I grab a lot of screenshots and videos from the games I play - if I wasn't working at Kotaku, I probably wouldn't care Read more

Oh, that sucks. Would you say that a helpful additional tip might be "Go to the share menu when you start your game?" Does that cause it to consistently record? I've probably been in the share menu so much while testing all this stuff out that I haven't run into that issue. Read more

Believe me, I've put my Kinect through its paces, and have gone through setup and optimization many times. I've tested it in a lot of different scenarios, and with all different sorts of acoustics. The camera just isn't consistent. Read more

It's just a little thing that I like. I'm not trying to balance pro and con entries or anything, just wanted to post that video again. (And I mean, I do like the startup sound, heh.) Read more

While I agree that the game library still holds the PS4 back from an unequivocal recommendation, I also think that the console is doing pretty darn well in that department, all things considered. Compared with the competition (Xbox One and Wii U), Sony is doing a really good job getting games onto the PS4. While it's Read more
