I still haven't seen it, but I WANT TO. Also gotta rewatch the first one. Read more

Here's all I really need to say about the soundtrack: 1) It's really good and 2) There's a whole controller button dedicated to making Red hum along with the music.

This band is one of the best groups I've heard in ages, to the point where it's inspiring that there are still successful bands making music this straight-up good. If you want to get to the best part of this track, go to the keyboard solo at 4:45 and listen from there on out.

I'm pretty similar. I like "Xbox, Record That" as much as or more than almost any other feature on the console, and use it all the time. The downside is that the upload studio is such a nuisance work with, and it takes way too many steps to get my videos onto Skydrive and onto my computer. But even with all that, I'm Read more

Okay, here's one: I've been having this weird thing where my controller disconnects from the Xbox One for no real reason. It happens pretty regularly; it'll usually disconnect then quickly reconnect. As far as I can tell, it happens when I have my knees or legs up between the controller and the Kinect camera, but I Read more

Let's pretend the H stands for "Higher" this time around. Read more

Yeah, I've heard from a lot of people that it's the black sheep of the series, which makes me want to play it. Plus that jazzy soundtrack! It'll depend, though; my patience for Halo games tends to be much greater in theory than it is in practice. Read more

Yeah, Machinarium is great! I played some of their new one, Samorost 3, as an IGF judge this year and it seems lovely so far, too. Read more

Why it's worth playing: It's a classic that holds up all these years later, it's not sloggy or ridiculously difficult, it has a really cool and approachable battle system, and it has one of the best stories in JRPG history. The DS cart for this game has pushed aside many a newer game to hold a place in my 3DS carrying

I'm with you. I mean, I'm all for most PC versions of most games, and I like playing Minecraft on PC, too. But I was surprised how much I like playing with a controller on the couch with a friend; I haven't actually played Minecraft since the last time I did that, and I'm looking forward to doing it again. I also Read more

The job thing was just one example; it's the same anywhere we have established norms. Say, you go out to TGI Friday's, and the person sitting across the way from you comes up to you and screams a bunch of threats and abuse. You chose to go out to the TGI Friday's, so does that mean that the situation is okay, that you Read more

Yeah, I hear you. It's a challenge, since part of Kinja's goal is to allow anyone—including anonymous sources—to publish, which means opening the doors a bit. In the end it's probably always going to come down to us writers, and there aren't that many of us compared with the thousands of comments the site gets every Read more

Holy shit at that second one. It's like a magic eye poster, if you unfocus your eyes it's a group of people doing jumping jacks in the park. Read more

When you think about it, she's the same character model superimposed over a different digital backdrop, so she sort of IS a photoshop template. Read more

While I get the impulse to compare motion control and VR, I've actually begun to think of them as two sides of the same coin. I imagine the logical endpoint of the two technologies, and they're intertwined - VR needs good motion control in order to put us into a virtual environment, and motion control will work best Read more
