Yeah, there are a few things about the mix that I don't love - the horn stuff on this tune doesn't pop like I want it to, for example. (but then I would gripe about that, wouldn't I.) I first heard it on vinyl and thought it generally sounded pretty great, so that might be a good way to go if you can. But really, it's Read more

I've played Planescape Torment and Neverwinter Nights, just missed Baldur's Gate somehow. I'll play it... one of these days... Read more

So for my May games: I started a clean replay of Kentucky Route Zero, and MAN that game is good. Though I do wish that the chapters didn't come out so far apart that I forget a lot of what was going on. I'm also playing FFXIV, FFX on Vita, got sucked back into Borderlands 2 on PC, am finally going through XCOM: Enemy Read more

I really should go back and finish Mario & Luigi Dream Team. That game is long as hell! Read more

I keep making the mistake of trying to play Baldur's Gate 1&2 on iPad, when I should really just get em on PC and play them that way. I might just skip to 2, though... Read more

Ah, yes - that's worth pointing out as well. Like I mentioned up top, if you played/play the game on PS3, it's worth considering the Vita version. I only wish that your character progress could carry over between the Vita and other platforms. Read more

I dunno, there are so many games I like on the Vita right now! FFX, Spelunky, Thomas Was Alone, Stealth Inc, I've even been replaying Gravity Rush and Killzone Mercenary. I think the Vita library is stronger than it's ever been, to the point where I've been playing it a lot more than my 3DS lately. Read more

I kept thinking about that as I played the Vita version. I'd definitely rather play that. Read more

I think it's fair. This is a much less-good version of Borderlands 2. I'm not cutting the game slack simply because it's impressive that they fit it onto a handheld system; I'm much more interested in telling people whether it's worth their time. Read more

I'd say sure, if you got it for free with a new Vita and haven't played the game, go for it. But if you're considering buying it for the first time and have any other means of playing it, just get it on a different platform. Read more

Ha, I had the same thought. Who says that machines can't be like people? Read more

It does, though really, it reminds me of the first two Infamouses, but not the new one - I've never quite forgiven Second Son for ditching the power-line surfing. Read more

I agree. I appreciate how much fun Stirling has, but Davis tends to put a lot more thought into her arrangements and performances. Read more

Cool, good to hear from someone who prefers the new screen - I figured some people might. Different strokes! Read more

I've used it quite a bit, and while it's fine for some types of games, it's just too much of a hassle for me to ever actively want to use it to play a new game. Most of the games I play on PS4 are action/adventure games, and for those I just really need the reliability of a button, at least for L1 and R1. But yeah, Read more

Check out the articles linked near the bottom of the article, specifically the one about Cate Archer; does a pretty good job of laying out what made the first two games special. But yeah, the short version is - great writing, killer style, and really robust/interesting gameplay, particularly in the second game. Read more

You know, I might finally really play Contract J.A.C.K. just out or morbid curiosity. (First I have to go and finish my replay of NOLF 2, though.) Read more

For now, you could stream the PS4 version to the Vita, which I'd imagine would work pretty well for this game. But yeah, a dedicated Vita version would be great. Hell, it could also work on iPad/tablet. Read more

There are a ton of battles in the game, and even more if you do all the optional side-stuff. (Sorry that's not a specific figure.) It's what you'll spend most of your time doing in the game. I never really felt like there were too many battles, but then again I really liked the combat system, so I never got sick of Read more
