I think there are a LOT of things hindering it from taking off, including the fact that Xbox’s software strategy has been kind of a joke, but if it’s any pricer than $500, it’s dead. Even $500 would be tough, since the PS4 will likely be around $200 by this holiday. Read more

I honestly don’t think it’ll change that much. E3 was essentially open to the public before — all you needed was some vague connection to the video game industry (or even the video game retail industry) to get a badge — so I don’t think the vibe (or size of the crowd) will be much different. Thanks! The book consists of 10 stories that I approached similarly to this one, although many of those games (like Uncharted 4 and The Witcher 3) were more successful. Also, most of the sources in the book (including leads at BioWare) spoke on the record. I think anyone who reads Kotaku will enjoy it. Read more
