I see where torchbearer is coming from, but since only 25 percent of sales are going towards the prize pool and even within that, there are splits for placement, there’s no way I can suss out for teams to profit off putting money into Compendiums. Read more

I think this is a phrasing issue - my meaning is that Valve will be investing in majors themselves, rather than crowdfunding them, as that was one of the questions raised by the Dota community leading up to this announcement (as some third-party tournaments in the past have had compendiums, like DAC). Ah, I was hoping it was a little closer to a parry than a hold-block. Another reason to play Helix, the true champ. Read more

I use the Pro controller or, if I’m feeling lazy, joycons attached to the Switch. A lot of pros used the Pro controller, but some use motion controls. Read more

He does get the teleport on ground blocks. I’d love to hear from a Ninjara main, but it seems like he has to re-up his guard after each guard-teleport to get a new one, so the player would (in that case) have to re-up their guard on every punch of the rush. More like a parry, maybe? Read more

Yeah, brake lights are an interesting thing. I’ve seen some players say you can manipulate brake lights as well, which is along the lines of parking the car east. Read more

In all honesty, it’s a hard pick. There’s been fewer LANs leading up to this year’s event, and a lot of patches in the spaces between. Read more

Wings was up there with DK and TI3-era Na’Vi for my favorite all-time team. Sad that it sounds like there were some irreconcilable issues within the team, their drafting and playstyle was so fresh. Read more

I love the first two Danganronpa games, they’re adventure / visual novel style games but with more gameplay elements than most mixed in during the investigations and class trials. I would highly recommend those two. Read more

I don’t have enough fingers to count the number of times I’ve dumped my hand onto a board, only to get Nether’d or Flamestrike’d. Read more

Yes, so just like you can steal the Roshan kill and get the gold for it, you can steal Baron. But rather than dropping an item like the Aegis, Baron gives a buff to the team that kills it for about three and a half minutes. Read more

Yeah, TAS has just become shorthand for anything involving tool-assisted execution. Maybe it can double as Tool Assisted Smash? Haha. Read more

Yeah, the wording was odd, rectified it above. Much less exciting now, as the drop rate for legendaries has been historically poor. Read more

So far, the only confirmed tournaments are the ones above, though there is possibility for more to be announced in the future. Read more
