I think people are more aware of what Overwatch’s characters can do, so it’s easier to understand an enemy AI that uses that same moveset than it is for me to bring up a pre-existing enemy AI that players might have faced without knowing that enemy’s moveset. Read more
Thief is the best stealth game ever because it has the best sense of place in games. It has wonderful spatial awareness. If you are struggling to place yourself in space, that’s your problem, not the genre’s. You should be able to position yourself in space based entirely on visual cues in a first-person game.
