Well, that didn't take long. Action-RPG Heart Forth, Alicia got Kickstarter-funded in less than two days, and it also managed to get Greenlit on Steam like, almost immediately. It is currently steadily heading towards the $110,000 stretch goal, which will net the game a PS4 port. Bright future indeed. Read more

They're trying to put Ultima Online and Dark Age of Camelot on Steam. The pair of venerable MMORPGs, launched in 1997 and 2001, respectively, have recently come under the control of the newly-formed Broadsword Online Games, who took to Steam Greenlight in an effort to find a new audience for the two classics. Dust off your copy of Terraria, console gamers, 'cause the massive 1.2 update for the game's Vita, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions lands today. The change notes for the free patch are here; it's quite the read. This brings the console versions in line with Terraria's PC version, which got the same update last October.

The final piece of DLC for Borderlands 2 is now out—the base game was released over one and a half years ago, on September 18, 2012. Even ignoring the extra costumes, BL2 managed to amass quite the hefty amount of DLC packs during that time. I'm interested to see if the new game will get a similar treatment. Read more

Square Enix has closed their India-based mobile game studio, according to a report by MCV India. During its one year of operation, the studio hasn't released any games, although it was reportedly working with developers on several titles. Read more

A Square Enix mobile developer has recently talked to Famitsu (via Siliconera) about a pair of new SaGa and Mana games which will "stay true to all [our] memories from the [SNES] and PlayStation era." The developer also mentioned that Square Enix's second mobile division would be "helping out" with the games. Read more
