A Square Enix mobile developer has recently talked to Famitsu (via Siliconera) about a pair of new SaGa and Mana games which will "stay true to all [our] memories from the [SNES] and PlayStation era." The developer also mentioned that Square Enix's second mobile division would be "helping out" with the games.

Bring Back Duckman!

Deny it all you want, your dependance on smartphones means you're still going to play games on it. You're going to deride a game simply because it's on mobile? Those phones are easily more powerful than an Xbox by now, so those developers can make games as big as they want. All they have to do is stop doing the goddamn microtransactions.

I know it's disappointing it's not on a Sony or Nintendo, but deal with it people in Japan are the ones who are going to buy most of these games.

At least this means I can safely avoid another SaGa game.
