There's also Shadows of the Metal Age for Thief 2. Seeing as the two Thief games are pretty much unique (to me, #3 was too much of a departure), it's great being able to play what is essentially a completely new game set in the Thief universe, with the good old Thief gameplay.

Nothing puts me into the mood to explore and gives me a sense of wonderment and adventure like Lone Bird in the Shire from the first Wild Arms (even though I never actually played the game). And yes, I know it's an homage to The Ecstasy of Gold. I prefer this version, though I do like The Ecstasy of Gold - just not…
