Um ... if you have a launch unit your warranty expired November 11 2007. Read more

There were literally no folders in the early firmwares, when I made that post. They added them later and I’ve been using them since. I’ve got a crap ton on my 32 gig memory card.

They didn’t even “build” anything here, they just purchased an existing product and added some labels.

But they didn’t design or fabricate the arcade cabinet. It’s an existing product that they just put a computer in and added printed decals to (badly, look at all the bubbles, wrinkes and not accounting for the existing screws in the side of the cabinet). Here’s the site where they got the cabinet:

That’s just an XTENSION arcade cabinet with custom decals applied (badly for that matter ... sorry, but they’re heavily wrinkled in places) and a particle board shelf where the keyboard is (possibly from an IKEA product, as the exposed pressboard sides are a giveaway that this wasn’t fabricated specifically for this Read more

I’m pretty sure I’m person number one hundred and five commenting that it’s easy to put a bigger hard drive in a PS4.

While I really appreciate the fact that the original cast came together for this, great new people got involved, everybody really looked to be having a fantastic time, the production values were spot-on in recreating the look and feel of the original ... overall, I feel that The First Day of Camp falls short of the Read more

I was kind of interested in drawing funny things on my Wii U gamepad while watching TV with other people, except, it never seemed to work, even when shows were “airing” it would often (*always actually) tell me that there was no option to chat/draw with other people for those shows. Yeah, it’s an extra $30 to tack on, but damn, it’s so worth it. Those stock dinky feet that they include (and have re-used for every set) make all of the combined forms look “off”.

$30 is correct! If you were on The Price is Right you’d win a set of Perfect Effect hands/feet. But you’re not, so you’ll have to just buy them instead. (Worth every penny if you like Combiner Wars stuff!) ;)

The Combiner Wars sets have generally been pretty good, the only HUGE gripe I have are that the hands/feet that they’ve included with each set suck. The feet are WAY WAY TOO SMALL. The solution is to buy the “Perfect Effect” hands/feet sets. They’re larger, poseable and allow the gestalt mode bots to do awesome leg

Except the ISOs. They just came into being. Like “bio-digital jazz”. ;)

I know, I know. I’ve got all my Tron mythology sqare. Classic, Legacy, Betrayal, Evolution, Uprising...even the non-cannon “2.0”.

I’ll chalk it up to the same reason that computer programs have genders ... I don’t even bother asking the questions when it means that we’re treated to Cindy Morgan and Olivia Wilde in spandex and leather.

Heh. Happy to see this one making the rounds again, however I just want to say, for the record that the tests were entirely NON-SCIENTIFIC. I still firmly believe that re-seating the cartridge repeatedly is more effective and less damaging that blowing into it. The fault is almost entirely in the NES ZIF connector. Read more

Platinum Games Inc. confirmed! Probably the smaller studio that did Korra but there’s no shame in that, that was a perfectly servicable licensed beat-em-up.
