that said - China's policies in university are pretty strict. I remember attending ECNU and the Chinese students weren't allowed in the Foreign student dorm without an escort. Ontop of that Female students weren't allowed male visitors past a certain time. It was pretty strict. Read more

Diaoyutai is what they call the islands in Taiwan. Which is funny since I'm technically Taiwanese but I prefer to call them just Diaoyu. The reasoning behind that is because there are hotels in Taipei and Beijing called Diaoyutai. So when I think of Diaoyutai, I think of the hotel.
