This all stems from some ridiculous "One China" policy that's indoctrinated the Chinese people. It scares me what will happen when China fails on the world stage.

It's odd - you can't really equate Jackie Chan with Li Bingbing or hollywood with the Chinese film industry - The HK industry maybe. The Chinese industry is terrible.

Well they weren't so much as expecting it to be great. The chinese have weird tastes in movies. They liked the Resident Evil franchise but were unhappy that the graphics were too much like a video game. But most importantly like post pointed out, they were hoping that Ada Wong did more than just be pretty. Read more
