They're passing laws in the U.S. restricting and outright banning unpaid internships, and that has got to be terrifying for major media companies, ALL of which rely on unpaid interns. I did three unpaid internships in college, and worked basically full-time in all of them, and there were always multiple interns at Read more

Have you read the ESPN Magazine story about Dan Gable? I think it was in last month's issue, he is the single-most intense person I have ever read about. Read more

Wrestlers are the most badass college athletes by a long shot, and that extends to the coaching. Very cool to see this happen. Read more

The official Star Wars CCG website still puts out cards that you can print and use, and has a player locator so you can find people in your area - Read more

Ya, that's exactly what I was talking about. The Magic Planeswalkers series has taken Magic the Gathering and turned it into a game, you could do the exact same thing with SWCCG. Read more

You know what Star Wars card game I really want? A Magic Planeswalkers-type game based around Star Wars CCG. Those cards were awesome, and the card game itself was extremely strategic and fun. If they released that on XBLA, I would buy it in a heartbeat Read more

Mega Bloks are pure garbage. I hate that they have the Halo license, Halo Legos would be so sick. Read more

'Games' like this are the reason I wish we could get past calling this medium video games. The word game literally means structured playing, and playing is supposed to be fun. Movies have way more freedom to explore dark and sensitive subject matter because it's accepted that not all movies are supposed to be fun, but Read more

Seattle didn't call bullshit on the Sonics. Bennett bought the team and immediately tried to hold the city hostage. Taxpayers had just helped build new stadiums for the Mariners and Seahawks, so it was ludicrous to expect a third publicly-financed stadium in the span of like six years. Read more

Agreed. I REALLY hope the new trilogy goes the practical effects route (I know Mark Hamill for one is campaigning for it). CGI can look so hokey and dated, the original trilogy still looks better than the prequels to me because they were shot on location, not with ridiculous greenscreen. Read more

Twitter allows you to get a general synopsis of what is going on. Then you can follow the links that are posted for more substantial information. The people who dismiss it for its character limit either haven't used it, or didn't put in the time to understand how it actually works. Read more

No, I honestly think it's an inferiority complex, like they're so desperate for recognition from the gaming community that they need to talk about how great their PCs are every chance they get. Read more

Why do PC gamers have such an inferiority complex? We really don't care what your specs are, us console gamers are happy being console gamers, and if you prefer it on PC, good for you. Are you going to tell us how FPSs aren't FPSs without a keyboard and mouse next? Read more

This is funny. I've seen the exact opposite comment ("oh look, Kotaku sucking off Microsoft again. Nice PR piece, how much are they payin you?") every time Kotaku writes something positive about the Xbox One. Apparently every article written about XB1 has an agenda, even if those agendas are contradictory. Read more

You're wrong on that. Twitter is aggregated news at its fastest and simplest, and if you understand how to use it properly, it is extremely powerful and helpful. If I see any report about a major event, the first place I check is Twitter. Read more

Because multi-screen gaming is not the reason I'm buying an Xbox One. But it's nice to have the feature included. I hardly think multi-screen gaming is what's driving customers one way or another. Read more

I don't think it's a feature we will use all of the time, but it's a nice compromise when needed. I have a 46-inch TV, large but not extravagant. I think it would be big enough to handle both without diminishing the quality too significantly, but of course I won't know until I actually try it. Read more

Well, I live in an apartment with my fiancee, and we have one tv. So if she wants to watch tv, I can't play games, and when I want to play games, she can't watch tv. This will be great for us, especially if I'm playing a sports game and don't need the volume. Read more

Darth Drogo might be the coolest Darth name I've ever heard. Read more
