I should say that I had a few bad games on the NES, SNES and N64, but not many. My mom would usually let me rent a game that I got as a gift to see if I liked it before letting me open it. Quest of the Dragon was the first game I really looked forward to, bought with my own money, and crushed my expectations. Read more

Wasn't that the game where you could shoot enemies with an arrow that made them puke until they died? I remember having a lot of fun with Turok Evolution, but I'd never call it a good game. Read more

I think reviewers actually do a very good job at understanding how a game compares to others in its genre. They might not be overt about it, but reviewers are great at drawing from their past experiences in order to understand and explain why a game is good or bad. Read more

Glad to hear it! Metacritic is a good place to look, and honestly a lot of my initial bad game playing (Darkest of Days, TMNT, Jumper) came from achievement hunting. Which system do you have and I can give you a few recommendations. Read more

If you want a movie that is so bad it's good, check it The Room. It's actually inspired a Rocky Horror-type following Read more

I think certain opinions can be wrong, or at least significantly misinformed. If someone tells me Call of Duty sucks, what it really tells me is that they haven't played an FPS that actually sucks. A more accurate opinion would be for them to say, 'I didn't like Call of Duty,' or something to the sorts. It's more Read more

I've made inappropriate jokes and think that people are generally too sensitive and PC as a whole. But there is a graphicness to what he said - shooting children and eating their still-beating hearts - that is unsettling. It's not particularly funny or clever, just really creepily specific in its violence. Read more

I'll be honest though, if someone's mind immediately goes to shooting up a kindergarten class and eating their hearts as a joke, there are some bigger issues there. I don't care how much of a puppy his parents claim he is, well-adjusted people don't say shit like that. Read more

Ya I agree completely. It's such a dick move letting your dog poop on the sidewalk or in a neighborhood and then not clean it up. Easiest solution? The offender has to pay for the cost of the dna test that caught them in the first place, that way there's no cost to anyone else. Read more

The home run race was one of the most amazing moments in sports to watch unfold. Read more

You have to beat the game to get the spinning laser disc. It's so powerful that it would ruin the game if you got it earlier. Read more

To your point that the Body Issue is the same as the SI swimsuit addition, I'd argue that there's actually a pretty major difference - ESPN includes male athletes as well as females. Read more

This x1000. If you look at the other times that Silva has pulled the slipping-with-hand-down technique, his opponents have come right-left-right-left. Weidman flicked his right hand twice, which forced Silva to stay to his left, and he caught him perfectly with the hook as a result. Read more

Do a google search with "___ is a jerk" and see what comes up. There's a petition that you can sign that says DRose is a jerk, Manning makes a top-10 jerk list, there's a picture of Tim Duncan flipping off fans.... Pretty much the only guy you can't find anything on is KD, because KD is a boy scout. Read more

Your sources are incredible. Chael Sonnen (one of the biggest talkers/ exaggerators in sports) and a site called IHateLebron. Read more

Have you played the original American McGee's Alice? It's incredible, and far from a run-of-the-mill Alice in Wonderland adaptation. If handled correctly, it would be a fantastic movie. I'd imagine it would be similar to Pan's Labyrinth, and actually del Torro would be the perfect director. Read more

If you watch Indie Game: The Movie, you won't be surprised that this guy complains all the time. Great game developer, but he undermines his legitimate gripes by bitching as much as he does. Read more

I definitely don't think that he should have sat in jail for three months, especially if there was no evidence of weapons at his house, but it's also not hard to avoid saying stupid shit on the internet. People need to get it through their heads that posting stuff like that can actually have consequences. Read more
