Assassin's Creed II's second developer diary gives gamers a better look inside Italy's churches and pickpocket-ridden streets.
Designers, directors, writers and other production people at Ubisoft also promise a lot of variety in this second outing for the series. Players can expect everything from collectable quests, climbing puzzles and the chance to run down (and possibly kill) pickpockets mid-mission.
The camera control from the first game, however, will stay the same – as will the dynamic cut scenes with a minor tweak. In the first game, Altair could pace while somebody was talking to him or position himself in the scene for a better view of the speaker. But in Assassin's Creed II, the timing with which the player triggers the cut scene determines if the assassin hugs a woman, or does something else. Maybe involving a knife to the ribs?
Assassin's Creed II is out November 17 is the US and November 20 in Europe.
