An Amazing Guitar Solo I Bet You Haven't Heard

It's been a while since I just posted a random piece of amazing music in here for you guys, so here goes: This tune, "Whippersnapper," is the opener from guitarist Wayne Krantz's 1995 live album 2 Drink Minimum, recorded at the 55 Bar in New York. He's joined by Lincoln Goines on bass and the madman Zach Danziger on drums. And man alive, do they kill it.

This kind of thing isn't everyone's cup of tea, but the first time I ever heard this track (back in college) it knocked my socks straight off. (The actual improvising starts at around 2:50.) I had maybe never heard fearless subversion of 4/4 time like this, and I still haven't heard many recordings that match it.

So, that's my contribution. Anyone got any amazing guitar solos to share? Maybe some Scott Henderson? Some Dave Fiuczynski? Lay 'em on me. Talk guitars, video games, or whatever else, here or over in the Talk Amongst Yourselves forum. Have good chatting, and don't forget to tune up between numbers.
