Among the many, many things that Mario Kart 8’s new super-ultra-mega-fast 200CC modechanges are the shortcuts every course has. Now they’re a lot easier to speed through—as long as you don’t run into a wall first.
YouTuber Axsel made a handy video (via Reddit) of all the shortcuts in Mario Kart 8 that no longer require Mushroom-fueled speed boosts to capitalize on. Take a look if you’re suddenly having a much harder time making it anywhere near first place. I know I am. But that probably has more to do with actually staying on Rainbow Road for more than five seconds at a time than finding the best shortcut.
