I finally got around to watching Knights of Sidonia the other day, and I loved it. From the genderless pilots to the amazing world design to the fact there's a giant bear walking around and nobody gives a shit. I also loved the mechs, which were unique enough to stand out while still being (relatively) practical.

Which would normally mean a hunt for expensive and fragile Japanese figures/model kits, but you know what, this Tsugumori paintjob by kuma32 is so perfect (here's the blank one for reference) I'm not going to bother. I might just print these off and stick them behind my shelf.

I mean, look at the wear and tear he's able to manage. The scratches and scrapes on pretty much everything in the show is one of its defining visual traits, and he's absolutely nailed it here.
