A PS3 Controller. Busted in Half.

I've never seen a PS3 controller broken in two parts. Then again, I've never destroyed mine in a fit of Super Street Fighter 4 rage after losing, like this Japanese gamer did.

I have to start off by saying I love my PS3 but the controller is built horribly. I'm not talking about stick placement because that doesn't bother me. I've had every Playstation home console so I'm very use to it. Something I've noticed this generation is that my PS3 controller develop this grove around the left analog stick, which then rubs and starts to destroy the outer actual casing off the controller. I know this is from playing FPS games. I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this or run into this problem. This has happened to my last 2 controllers and the last one is about a year old and the grove is crazy deep. I looked at my XBox controllers and didn't notice this problem but I don't play my box as my as much as the 3.
