The 2010 World Cup has hit Xbox Live Marketplace, with a range of official and unofficial team merchandise now available for your Xbox 360's avatar.

Finally delivering on a promise that's gone unfulfilled ever since the avatars were first released, fans of the beautiful game can buy official jerseys, shorts, socks, boots and even supporter gear for many of the world's top teams.

Most Nike-sponsored sides have their official kits available, including Brazil, Holland, Australia & England (Nike owns Umbro), while generic, unofficial strips can also be had for sides like France, Germany and Spain.

The stuff is relatively cheap at 240MSP, but then seeing as half the gear is an advertisement for Nike, it should really have been free.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to bury my head in the sand and pretend last night's game against Germany never happened.
