Here’s the teaser for the upcoming Rurouni Kenshin: Final Chapter - The Final/The Beginning movies. The Final, which opens in Japan on July 3, centers on Kenshin’s battle with a weapons dealer, while The Beginning, opening in Japan on August 7, recounts the swordsman’s younger days. No word yet on international releases.

Eh, I doubt this will come stateside. While Funimation and Viz do still sell the Kenshin products they still have the rights to, they stopped advertising them almost as soon as Watsuki’s arrest happened. Viz dropped the Hokkaido arc immediately and never came back to it. Them dropping Kenshin is especially notable because before this, he appeared almost as often as Yugi or Naruto in their Shonen Jump ads.

If it does come over, it would have to be a smaller company like Discotek or AsianCrush.
