Hi Kotaku! I’m signing off for the weekend and wanted to give a big thank you to all the readers for taking the time to read my retrospectives/essays and leaving some very interesting comments over the Thanksgiving break. I try to read as many as I can as I always learn really fascinating things and discover new games I want to play. I’m especially grateful to the commenters who identified the wrestling game from my childhood whose name I’d forgotten (WWF Superstars and WWF WrestleFest). I’ve definitely got to go back and play those.

I also wanted to say a big thanks to the Kotaku editors for giving me the chance to write about some of my favorite (and not so favorite) retrogames and also to weekend editor Zack for generously allowing me to fill in. He’ll be back next week!

I hope to see you again in the near future! And in the meantime, if you want to hit me up for comments or suggest some new games I should play or tell me why I was wrong about any of my articles, you can find me on twitter at @TieryasXu.

One last thing. C’mon y’all, Resident Evil 6 wasn’t that bad, lol.

Peter Tieryas is the author of Mecha Samurai Empire & Cyber Shogun Revolution (Penguin RH). He's written for Kotaku, IGN, & Verge. He was an artist at Sony Pictures & Technical Writer for LucasArts.

Why does this read as if you're leaving kotaku?
