GameStop said today that Paul Raines, who served as CEO of the retailer from 2010 to 2017, has died. He had stepped down from his position in November 2017 due to a brain tumor.
Rough. Cancer is always a shitty thing to happen.
As a side note, i did notice that EBGames has shifted towards toys and games lately, where half the store is no longer stocked with video games. I wonder if this change was from the new CEO. I figure in a few years, EB and Gamestop will be renamed ThinkGeek.
