Publisher THQ Nordic announced today that it has purchased publisher Koch Media (Saints Row, Metro, Dead Island), which is a strange twist of fate. Most of Koch Media’s video game franchises used to belong to the old iteration of THQ, which went bankrupt in 2013.
Where does Nordic get the money for all these acquisitions? They buy so many developers and IPs while none of their games seem to make big money. I know there are investors that are maybe there for the longer run but still they keep spending money like its nothing.
