Microsoft has announced plans to shut down Xbox Fitness, starting with the removal of content from the Xbox Marketplace today. Existing users can use Xbox Fitness until July 7, 2017, when Microsoft will shut it down entirely. Why not let people keep using it? To save money, presumably.

I thought it was neat but never got that into it and it’s not all that surprising honestly. For a service that’s centered around owning a Kinect that no longer ships with the console, it makes sense that the service isn’t being used enough to keep it going.
