I suppose it's only a matter of time before any server shuts down for an online game, but it stinks that something you spend so much money on and sink tons of time into all of a sudden becomes a table coaster. I'm guessing I'm in the great minority, but I enjoy going back to old games from time to time. Here's hoping some amazing hackers create their own servers to keep it alive, or perhaps Squeenix will release a single player HD campaign version down the line....
