While politicians bickered, one thing China and Japan could always find common ground on was anime. And, uh, pornography. Which is why this recent incident was all the more surprising.
Japanese adult video stars Emiri Okazaki and Anjyu Kitagawa were guests at the Dalian International Adult Expo, an adult goods convention in Dalian, China.

Shortly after Okazaki took the stage, eggs where thrown at her. She ran off stage once and returned. Again, eggs and plastic bottles were thrown at her.

Below, you can see what happened in this video from QQ. Some of the eggs appear to bounce off her, but it's hard to tell.
As Record China reports, an eyewitness said that this is the result of anti-Japanese feelings from the Japanese occupation during the 1930s and 1940s. Here, you can see protestors at the event holding a sign that reads, "Do Not Forget the National Humiliation."

The second line reads, "Resolutely Resist the Pollution of Dalian by Japanese Porn Stars."
Increasingly, anti-Japanese sentiment is once again on the rise in China as well as in neighboring South Korea. Though, do not think that all Chinese people as well as all Korean people hate today's Japanese. They don't.
Okazaki, who's entered the running to appear in the next Yakuza game, wrote on Twitter how she is half-Korean. "It wasn't that long ago that South Korea was a Japanese colony. And yet, despite this, I still love Japan..." Some folks, well, don't.
