It's not a problem, OK? It's a disease.
I reinstalled Civ V the other day, and it has fucked me up. My family is away on holidays for a few weeks so I'm home alone, meaning that I've been sliding back into the very worst habits of a Civ fan, from ignoring my own "one last turn" advice to ignoring the clock on the wall that's telling me yo, grown man, go get some sleep.
This made me remember the fact that I am not alone in my struggles.
The Civ Anon (you know, like Alcoholics Anonymous, only for Civilization) marketing campaign has been running for a while; you might remember it from the lead-up to the release of Civ V. It was pretty funny, if also a little too heavy on the (duh) Civ V marketing.
You may not have seen this clip, though, which was released all the way back in 2005. It's not only the first Civ Anon video, it's also the best. While made for Civilization IV, it's general enough to hit home to fans of any game in the series at any time.
The political humour might date it a little, but hey, that's part of the charm.
