That's Shadowcrypt in a nutshell.

On the surface, there's not much to this indie side-scroller. You've got your undead-filled catacombs, your evil Necromancer, your traps and mazes, and you've got random treasure. It's all very familiar, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. See here:

It looks tight. The developer describes the game as "elegantly simple;" a design philosophy that's reflected in the text-light and gameplay-heavy trailer, too, whereas Shadowcrypt itself seems like a very distilled, barebones hack and slash experience. Personally, I think that's lovely.

The game will be released on PC in a couple weeks. Its website is currently under construction, so look to its IndieDB page for updates.
