It's Not Counter-Strike. Actually, It's Better.

Leo and I decided to try out this free-to-play game called Tactical Intervention as a fallback when another game wasn't working. We didn't have very high hopes for it, but we gave it a try. Now it might be my new favorite multiplayer game.

The video above might be a little confusing, but that's because it captures the feeling of playing Tactical Intervention. You're dropped into something similar to, but not the same as, Counter-Strike, you die a bunch and then fall in love. Let me see if I can break down the stages of Tactical Intervention using this video as a guide.

Stage 1 (0:00 - 0:40): This game has a horrible interface, what am I looking at?

Stage 2 (0:40-2:00): Why are there floating arrows? Why are the hostages swarming around in the open? Why am I rappelling? Why are all of these things in the game?

Stage 3 (2:05-3:00): This is the weirdest free-to-play scheme I've ever seen. More random features. Maybe we should stop playing this.

Stage 4 (3:00-forever): This is the best game ever and I love it, I want to marry it, I want to tell all my friends about it, why doesn't every game have insane car chases like this.

Tactical Intervention is free to play on Steam right now.
