So many amazingly horrific entries in last week’s “food”-themed ‘Shop Contest, but the winner is a simple, iconic image of Link from The Legend of Zelda playing the lovely “Song of Ass Storms.”
Nothing goes together like gaming and Hot Pockets, unless the Hot Pockets marketing team is at the helm. Let’s show them how it’s done in this week’s Kotaku ‘Shop Contest.
Last night, the legendary purveyors of bread-and-cheese injection systems at Hot Pockets tweeted a photo of a bro playing a Nintendo 64 while another bro helped him eat a Hot Pocket. The tweet has since been removed from Hot Pockets’ timeline. Were they embarrassed about using a dated cultural reference like an N64?
Take Biz Markie’s “Just a Friend.” Change the song so that it's about Hot Pockets, and then get Snoop Dogg and Kate Upton to perform it. Add lots of pot and Minecraft references, and throw in some other cameos in there for good measure.
