It’s you’ve been looking for the right moment to upgrade to a new tablet, Apple has given you an enticing reason to make that right now. Over on Amazon, Apple has its flagship iPad on sale for about $50 off. The sale covers all color options as well as all storage capacity configurations. The one exception is one of the cellular models but we’ll get to that.
To break things down, Apple has three different choices for storage when it comes to its latest iPad. First up, the 128GB model is down from $349 to just $299. We can bump that up to 256GB and well find that this one has dropped from $449 to $399. Doubling that capacity, we get the 512GB model which has be marked down from $649 to just $597—you get an extra couple bucks off there.
These were for all of the Wi-Fi-only configurations. If you want cellular functionality, the prices breakdown as follows: The 128GB model which normally goes for $499 is now just $459 (that’s our big exception and lowest discount of just $40). We also have the 256GB model coming from $599 to just $551 and the 512GB model dropping from $799 to $735 (so actually two exceptions but this one means saving even more, a whole $64).
Liquid Retina Screen
The display on these newest iPads look absolutely gorgeous. It’s working with an 11-inch Liquid Retina panel which has a resolution of 2360 by 1640 pixels. You’ll notice a sharp level of detail here with whites that look extra white and blacks that look extra black. The color pops vibrantly and the screen looks good in any lighting condition. Apple equipped the iPad with True Tone tech which can manipulate the color temperature based on ambient lighting in the room or outside with you. This can help reduce eyestrain over extended use.
Apple made sure this iPad is well suited for taking video calls. Right on front is a 12MP ultra-wide camera and, like other recent Apple products, makes use of a feature called Center Stage. This automatically tracks you while recording or in video conferencing apps, intelligently moving the frame to keep up wit you or other subjects on camera. This results in a more dynamic video feed that always keep the attention on you.
Security is at the forefront here, but in a way that is unobtrusive to the primary user. The top buttons has Touch ID built in so you can just bring your finger to it and be permitted access to unlocking the tablet or to authorize purchases via Apple Pay.
