Looks like some banned Overwatch players might be reacting a little more poorly than we’d first thought, with a DDoS attack knocking the game—and by extension a lot of other Blizzard titles—out of service this afternoon.
UPDATE: Fixed:
The DDoS attacks from earlier have ended and players can now log into BattleNet. We are investigating reports of World Server Down in WoW.

Blizzard has since said that “Our network engineers are working on addressing the issue and resolving the attack as quickly as possible.”
