One of the new features you’ll find in Zelda’s journey in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is an accessories system, letting you equip trinkets that grant you passive effects. The best of these can decrease incoming damage, or increase rupee drops, but not every accessory is particularly useful. We’re picked out the best of the game’s accessories, to help you focus on the most useful bonuses.

Before we even get into gathering these advantages, don’t forget you can increase the number of accessories you can equip by visiting the Great Fairy in Lake Hylia. She’ll ask for more and more rupees with each upgrade (with the final one requiring a whopping 1,000 rupees), but it’s well worth the cost to gain additional accessory slots for their helpful boons.

With that said, click on to learn which are the best accessories in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

Best: Offensive accessory

The Final Mastery is the best offensive accessory in the game. There are three tiers of the Mastery accessory, each one further increasing the amount of time you can spend in Swordfighter form, by reducing the drain on your energy bar while using this finite resource. Considering how invaluable Swordfighter form becomes as you face off against some of the game’s toughest bosses, you’ll absolutely want to snag this.

Each tier of Mastery accessory is awarded as you work your way through the Slumber Dojo in Kakariko Village, with the Final Mastery accessory being your reward for completing all 14 fights. This is quite a challenge, as you’ll be timed on each one—but keep at it and you’ll eventually claim this exceptional accessory for yourself.

Best: Defensive accessory

The Curious Charm is the best defensive accessory in the game, as it greatly decreases the damage you take from enemy attacks. Without this accessory equipped, you’ll be disappointed to see your hearts go down quite a lot when you get slapped around by foes, so making sure you’ve got some tough skin with the Curious Charm is so important.

You’ll first receive the Ancient Charm by completing the “Let’s Play A Game” sidequest to the east of Hyrule Castle. Later, you can upgrade this charm to the Curious Charm by completing the main quest “A Rift in Faron Wetlands,” and then subsequently heading to Scrubton to pick up and complete the sidequest “Cotton-Candy Hunt.”

Best: Jump boost accessory

The Frog Ring is an absolute must-have accessory, improving the height of your jump. Considering how much of the game is spent trying to reach higher points of interest, that little bit of extra height can make a massive difference, frequently even reducing the number of summoned echoes you’ll need to use to reach a spot.

This accessory is nearly unmissable, as it’s in a treasure chest directly beside the Big Key chest in Hyrule Castle dungeon. Whatever you do, don’t pass this up!

Best: Money-making accessory

Rupees are more important here than in most previous games in the franchise, as you’ll be spending them on a wide variety of items, upgrades, and more. As such, you’ll want to aim for the Gold Brooch so that you can maximize your incoming dough. This accessory increases how many rupees drop when defeating enemies and breaking objects.

You can get the Silver Brooch by destroying a cracked wall in the northwestern section of the Zora River Village. Meanwhile, the Gold Brooch is obtained by finishing the “Secret Chief” sidequest near the Sea Zora Village, which appears after completing the “Still Missing” main quest.

Best: Swimming accessory

Do you like to swim fast? Hell yeah, you like to swim fast. That means you’ll probably want to get your feet up in some Zora’s Flippers, as this accessory will boost your swim speed by a fairly noticeable amount. There are a lot more underwater segments in this game than you’d expect, so you won’t want to sleep on this one.

You can purchase Zora’s Flippers at the River Zora Shop in the River Zora Village. It’ll run you 350 rupees, though, so make sure you’ve saved up before you go shopping.

Best: Health recovery accessory

If your goal is survivability, it’s not a bad idea to keep the Heart Barrette equipped. This accessory boosts the frequency with which hearts drop from breakable objects and defeated enemies. Couple this with the aforementioned Curious Charm to be a defensive powerhouse.

The Heart Pin can be obtained in a chest within a 2D segment right after defeating Dark Link near the very beginning of the game, almost certainly making it the first accessory you find. The Heart Barrette is a reward for completing the “Beetle Ballyhoo” sidequest in Gerudo Town, which you can start any time after wrapping up the “Still Missing” main quest.

While these are our favorite picks for accessories in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, you should absolutely consider swapping your accessories out based on your needs at any given time in the game. Mix and match them to become the best Zelda you can be!
