A powerful Android phone that’s perfect for both casual and hardcore users

The display measures 6.9 inches diagonally, with a Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X panel, 120Hz refresh rate, and 2,600-nit peak brightness. Colors are vivid, blacks are deep, and HDR10+ content plays back from Netflix, Disney+, and YouTube in full range. Privacy Display is a new hardware-level feature that narrows the panel’s viewing angle when active, hiding the screen from anyone looking over your shoulder in public.

Photography on the S26 Ultra uses four rear lenses: a 200MP main with a variable f/1.4 to f/4.0 aperture, a 50MP ultrawide, a 50MP 5x optical zoom telephoto, and a 10MP 3x optical zoom telephoto. A 12MP front camera adds a dedicated Image Signal Processor for the first time on a Galaxy phone. Horizon Lock stabilization keeps the video level during recording, even through a full 360-degree rotation of the phone.

Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, Qualcomm’s most effective mobile processor to date, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM. Battery life lasts a full day on the 5,000mAh cell, and 60W Super Fast Charging 3.0 brings the phone from empty to about 65% in 30 minutes. Wireless charging supports Qi 2.2 at up to 25W with any compatible pad, plus reverse wireless charging to top up earbuds or a smartwatch from the phone.

Galaxy AI features work on-device through Samsung’s Personal Data Engine, which processes data locally and stores it encrypted in Knox Vault rather than sending it to external servers. Photo Assist edits objects, backgrounds, and lighting on your photos. Now Nudge surfaces smart suggestions during your day. The built-in S Pen slides out of the bottom of the phone for handwriting, sketching, and remote camera shutter over Bluetooth. IP68 rating protects the S26 Ultra against submersion in up to 5 feet of water for 30 minutes.

Samsung has been the top-selling Android phone maker in the US and globally for over a decade, with the Galaxy S Ultra positioned as the flagship of the flagships each year. At $1,030, down from $1,300, the current sale takes 21% off the launch price. Trade-in credit on Amazon adds up to another $600 off with a qualifying older phone. Samsung provides seven years of Android updates and seven years of security patches, which means the S26 Ultra will continue to receive new features through 2033.
