The Wall Street Journal reports that Nintendo is doubling the number of Nintendo Switch consoles its plans to make in 2017 from 8 million units to 16 million. Kotaku reached out to Nintendo for confirmation but didn’t hear back prior to publication.

I feel sorry for the poor souls that paid well above retail for this console. It is the core system from Nintendo at this time, it isn’t like the NES Classic.

However, if they ever make a SNES Classic, prepare for the internet to be broken.
