It's not every day we get to feature the work of an artist who, amidst pieces drawn up for video games and trading card companies, has also dabbled in the style of 19th century battlefield paintings.
But we are today. So today is a good day.
You're looking at the works of Karl Kopinski, a British artist who has worked with Relic on their Warhammer games, provided art for gaming companies like Wizards of the Coast (Magic) and Games Workshop (Warhammer) and, perhaps my favourite, also contributed to the fantastic military art gathering The Waterloo Collection.
You can see more of Karl's work at his personal site, blog and CGHub page.
To see the larger pics in all their glory (or, if they're big enough, so you can save them as wallpaper), right-click on them below and select "open in new tab".
Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists, showcasing the best of both their professional and personal portfolios. If you're in the business and have some concept, environment, promotional or character art you'd like to share, drop us a line!
