The Ugreen Mac mini dock sits under your mini Apple computer and improves its functionality by adding more ports and letting you expand storage with an SSD. It can be a good addition to your workstation if you need more accessories to create a bigger, more productive setup.
It packs plenty of performance into a compact build and costs only $63, which is quite reasonable, especially when you consider the convenience it brings. Today, however, Amazon is letting you pick one for only $55 with a limited-time (and unexpected) 13% discount. Shipping is included, and you don’t need a Prime subscription to enjoy both the direct discount and free delivery, either.
Easy to set up, offers 11 ports in a compact build
This sleek, compact dock helps you unlock the full potential of your Mac mini. The design is really thoughtful. It matches the computer’s size, color, and even the curves, so it perfectly blends into the setup. Then there are anti-slip silicone pads underneath to keep the thing stable across surfaces, along with a power button lever that helps you turn your Mac mini on without having to lift it first.
You get a total of 11 ports here. These include three USB-A 3.2 (10Gbps), two USB-A 3.0 (5Gbps), two USB-C 3.2 (10Gbps), and a UHS-I SD/TF card reader with transfer speeds of up to 170MB/s. The blazing-fast 10Gbps speeds via USB-A 3.2 and USB-C 3.2 ports are enough to move large files and backups around within minutes, so you won’t be stuck waiting around for ages when transferring data.
It also lets you expand your internal storage to up to 8TB. The dock supports M.2 NVMe SSDs in 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280 sizes, meaning you’ll also have a wide range of options to choose from when picking one! Setup is quick and won’t take too long. The included short 4cm cable keeps everything neat, while still delivering impressive performance.
Finally, the built-in triple protection offers surge protection, timing control, and over-current protection for a safer, more efficient experience, even when all the ports are in use.
All in all, if you want to get the most out of your Mac mini without spending a lot, the Ugreen Mac mini dock can be a solid investment. It was already quite affordable at its retail price of $63, but the current offer lets you grab it for even less if you buy through Amazon. The retailer is also offering free shipping to all shoppers, adding even more value to the deal.
