The more I study the Pokémon Trading Card Game, the more I realize I might never catch up. Hot on the heels of the recent Phantom Forces expansion comes Primal Clash, a new set featuring Pokémon that have undergone Primal Reversion, including Primal Kyogre-EX and Primal Groudon-EX.
Now that I've almost finished building my own deck, it's time for more than 160 new cards to enter the mix, making me reevaluate everything I've done over the past few months. We've got Primal Reversion Pokémon and 12 new Pokémon EX cards including two new Mega Evolution Pokémon. New abilities called Ancient Traits, appearing on 10 to 20 percent of Primal Clash cards, proffering special abilities in battle.
Let's see, what else. 31 new trainer cards, four full-art rare Ultra cards, four secret rare cards and a pair of Special Energy cards. All of this available in $3.99 10-card boosters or two $12.99 pre-constructed decks on February 5.
How do you players keep up? Do you just build a deck and stick with it, or are you constantly weighing the pros and cons of new cards and mixing things up?
