Karakter is a German studio who have been working with HBO on Game of Thrones since the show’s inception. They’ve just sent along some of the stuff they did for season 5, which means snow zombies.
One of the things the team did was to for the first time create their concepts as 3D spaces, which meant that not only could the show’s directors use them as a starting point for planning camera angles, but other artists could use them as the foundation for stuff like matte paintings.
You can see more of Karakter’s art at their studio site. Note that while the art in this post is all Karakter’s work, not all the designs necessarily are; Production Designer Deborah Riley (and her predecessor Gemma Jackson), her team and other groups like the costume designers all contributed as well.
NOTE: BIG SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU’RE NOT UP TO SPEED WITH THE SHOW
