Blizzard has weighed in on the two issues players have had with The Butcher since he dropped into Heroes of the Storm last week. They confirmed that his unstoppable charge move is bugged “and will be fixed with an upcoming patch.” As for his gameplay balance, they said he is “nowhere near underpowered or overpowered.”
Blizzard designed The Butcher to be a very scary addition to Heroes of the Storm. Since he arrived in the developer’s newly-minted MOBA last week, he’s been a little too scary for some players thanks to a loophole in his ability kit.
Iconic Diablo villain The Butcher has been terrorizing people in Heroes of the Storm since he arrived in the game last week, and not always for the right reasons. Despite being a very cool and well-designed hero, many HOTS players feel that he’s ridiculously overpowered at the moment.

The Butcher and the new “Eternal Conflict” map are both dropping into Heroes of the Storm today as part of the game’s seasonal Diablo-themed content plan. Fresh meat!
