A Freakishly Cool Game Where You Invade The Memories Of Dead People

Master Reboot is a psychological horror adventure game where dead people's memories are uploaded to the cloud…the soul cloud.

But as with any social network of the future where dead people's memories are stored, it all goes wrong. Soon you're sent in to sort out the mess of digital thoughts and feelings. Side note: I used to live in Wales so it's good to see a video game from Welsh studio Wales Interactive coming to PC.

Master Reboot is available on Steam. You can even play it in Welsh!

Surface Matter is a book by Iain Banks which takes a look at one possible outcome of this sort of thing. If you can digitize and upload personalities and keep them running, it's inevitable that many societies will turn them into its own version of Heaven and Hell (or whatever your afterlife is). It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. And you don't want to end up in the Hell of a Big Angry Religion (you know which ones).

I Have No Mouth... approached this idea, but from a different smaller scale.

And I'll be checking out the game!
