Soundcore’s Boom Go 3i Portable Bluetooth Speaker packs a lot of features, including 15W of solid-sounding audio, an IP68 rugged build, and up to 24 hours of playback in a single handheld unit. BassUp 2.0 technology boosts the lower frequencies for full-bodied sound, and the volume can reach up to 92dB. The device also doubles as an emergency backup power source via its built-in 4,800mAh battery, which can top up your smartphone if your phone runs low while you’re in remote areas.
A rugged portable speaker with a 24-hour battery and a built-in power bank
As such, the Boom Go 3i is ideal for hikers, campers, cyclists, and anyone else who needs an ultra-durable speaker for outdoor activities. As a result, you receive 15W output with BassUp 2.0, IP68 water and dust resistance, 1-meter drop protection, up to 24 hours of continuous playback time, a real-time battery level display, an embedded power bank for topping up your smartphone, an emergency alarm, lighting synced to the beat of the music, Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, and a strap system allowing you to easily carry the speaker.
The Boom Go 3i features a 15W driver that, paired with BassUp 2.0, delivers clear, strong vocals and deep, rich bass. Through the Soundcore app, you can create your own equalizer settings to customize the sound as you like. Bluetooth 6.0 provides an always-on, stable wireless connection to another Boom Go 3i speaker in stereo mode or to other compatible devices through Auracast technology.
For protection purposes, the speaker has an IP68 rating, which protects the unit from dust and being submerged underwater. The unit also has 1-meter drop protection, so it’s designed to keep working after an accidental drop on pavement, grass, or rock. This feature is ideal for pool, beach, or campsite areas where water exposure is common. The speaker’s strap system lets you mount the unit on your backpack, bicycle, or tent, giving you quick access to music anytime.
You also get 24 hours of continuous playtime, enough to listen all day, and a live battery indicator shows the exact amount of battery power remaining. In an emergency, the internal 4,800mAh battery lets you recharge your smartphone. After returning home, simply plug the unit back in via USB-C.
Soundcore also added an emergency alarm feature. Press the power button five times to trigger a loud 92dB alarm signal that Soundcore claims can be heard up to 50 meters away. Music-synced lighting adds ambiance and fun for both parties and camping, with six music-reactive modes and eight ambient modes.
The Soundcore Boom Go 3i Portable Bluetooth Speaker combines high-quality sound, durable construction, and practical emergency functions in a small footprint. So it’s a good choice if you plan to bring music on most outings.
