This curved gaming monitor from Samsung has a curvature of 1000R. This is meant to better mimic the way our eyes naturally perceive the world around us, filling up your peripheral with more screen than a flat monitor would be able to. This can allow for a more immersive gaming experience—especially when playing titles in first person.

The screen has a QHD resolution which is 1.7 times more pixel density than standard HD. It’s not full 4K, but at this size, that should be adequate enough. Plus, that bump in detail would mean the price going way up, likely by more than the benefit would be worth.

Your games will pop on screen with the HDR10 support which allows for a wide range of contrast in the colors. You’ll be able to see the details in dark corners of an environment better than you would on a screen without HDR.

React in Real Time

With a 165Hz refresh rate, you can experience smooth gameplay in over 120fps, so long as both the game you’re playing and the rig you’re playing on can support that. AMD Radeon FreeSync helps to reduce image tearing and keep your games (and moviesfor the matter) looking super fluid.

It’s nearly lag-free as the monitor has a response time of just 1ms. The moment you hit jump, that little guy on screen is going to jump. This can make games across the board feel lighter and snappier, while also giving an edge in competitive online titles where the timing of every frame counts.
