For a portion of this week, Amazon is opening the floodgates to an abundance of deals and discounts across tons of different product categories. We’re already through the first day of Prime Big Deal Days. Today—Wednesday, October 7—is now the last day of the sales event, so there is still time to find something worthwhile and save big. It’s also a great time to get a head start on some holiday shopping. Among all these deals is the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8. This foldable smartphone comes with two choices of different capacities, and right now both are over $200 off.
You can choose between getting the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 with either 256GB or 512GB of storage. The 256GB model normally ells for $1,200, but the Prime Big Deal Days deal has brought it down by 18% to just $990. That’s a savings of $210. If you require a bit more space than that, you can go with the 512GB model. That one typically is listed at $1,400, but today’s deal has brought it down by 16% to just $1,180. That works out to a savings of $220 for a limited time.
Do More Without Opening Your Phone
People spent much of September oohing and aahing at the new iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foray into the world of foldable smartphones. Well, Samsung has been in that game for a while with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 being among the eighth generation.
The Z Flip8 has a compact form factor when folded up, about half the screen-size of typical smartphones at just 4.1 inches. You can use the cover screen at a glance to view notifications, check the time, and more while the phone stays closed. It’s also ultra-thin so it doesn’t feel bulky in your pocket while you have it folded up.
Opening up the phone reveals a full-size and fully-featured smartphone at 6.7 inches. The hinge however lets you do some thing you wouldn’t be able to on a normal phone.
For starters, selfies become much easier. You can now prop your phone up hands-free to achieve different angles. Just set your phone down on a flat surface and flex it upwards to it can take the shot while it holds it self up without having to questionably lean against something.
It uses a 50MP wide lens along with a 12MP ultra wide lens on the outside cover screen. This means your selfies can use the best camera on the phone while you still get to see the shot as its being taken. On the inside, you have the 10MP main screen camera for selfies or video calls taken while the phone is open.
