We know a lot of the hype around folding phones is now on Apple as they enter the fray, but this Smash Bros arena has been filled with other options for a long time now. Arguably the greatest in that field, the Kirby of the group, is the latest Samsung offering, the Galaxy Z Fold 8. This thing is a beast, and offers great versatility and a lot of features as well. The only issue is the fact that it’s so darn expensive.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 would normally cost you $1,900 for the 256GB version. That’s not a small price to pay, even if you are going to get your money’s worth out of it. Today though, you can get it with $250 off, which brings the price down to $1,650 for a limited time, and in three different colors. However, you can save more if you have a device to trade-in. While the money off will vary, it can be as high as $815, which brings the price down to $835, which is an incredible price.

It’s A Tablet, It’s A Phone

As this is a folding phone, it’s very versatile. You can use it as a standard mobile phone, and that’s amazing, but it can also be used when it’s folded out, which essentially means it’s a tablet at that point. That can be a big boost to how much use you can get out of it in a lot of different ways. Some websites just don’t function on a mobile screen, but the tablet screen makes them actually work. There’s also just chilling out while watching something, which is always going to feel better on a larger screen.

This is also the lightest folding phone out, which means that it’s a lot less taxing to use over long periods. That’s just the fold stuff, though, you’re still getting an amazing Galaxy phone outside of that. That means access to an obscene number of excellent apps that can keep you entertained, focused, or anything else, whenever you need. It also has a beautiful camera, an amazing screen, and an impressive battery life as well.

There’s just no beating this folding phone at the moment, and while the $1,900 price tag is a lot of money, the $1,650 price is a fair bit more appealing. If you can also trade in your old phone and get the full $815 off of that too, then you’re getting an excellent bargain on this if it’s just $935.
