The Samsung 32-inch S3 Curved Monitor is Samsung’s entry-level Essential Monitor line, a 32-inch Full HD 1080p panel with a 1800R curve, a 100Hz refresh rate, and built-in speakers. The 1800R curve wraps the screen around the user’s field of vision at the same radius as a typical movie theater screen, which keeps the edges of the display the same distance from the eye as the center for less neck movement during long sessions and a more immersive viewing experience for games, videos, and split-screen work.
A great new centerpiece monitor for your desk
The S3’s 100 Hz refresh rate produces a smoother experience when scrolling through pages of text, working with large spreadsheets, and moving windows around your desktop. It also helps reduce motion blur in video games, which is especially useful on PCs with integrated graphics or older graphics cards.
A new feature called Game Mode has been added to the display’s preset modes. This mode provides color, brightness/contrast, and shadow detail adjustments specifically designed for video games. Specifically, this mode will brighten dark areas of the screen, increase the contrast of details within game environments, and stretch non-standard resolution settings to fill the 32-inch-wide screen, rather than showing black borders on either side.
Built-in stereo speakers eliminate the need for a separate set of desk speakers, freeing up desk space and reducing cable clutter. Sound quality covers basic conference calls, YouTube videos, and casual music listening, but for serious gaming or movies, a dedicated speaker setup or headphones is still the better path.
Eye Saver Mode is TÜV-certified for reduced screen flicker and lower blue light output, the two factors that contribute to eye strain during long work sessions. The mode shifts the color temperature toward warmer tones, similar to a phone’s night shift mode, and can be set to activate automatically based on the time of day.
For connectivity, you get HDMI and D-Sub (VGA) ports, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack on the back panel. The HDMI input handles modern laptops, desktops, and game consoles at 1080p 100Hz, while the D-Sub legacy port supports older office PCs that haven’t been upgraded to HDMI yet. The stand tilts but does not adjust for height, and the monitor is VESA mountable for arms or wall mounts.
The Samsung 32-inch S3 Curved Monitor normally costs $250, but is currently priced at $180. The bundle includes the monitor itself, the stand, an HDMI cable, the power cable, and the user manual, which is the complete kit needed to set up your new 32-inch curved display on a desk or VESA arm right out of the box.
