A large and in-charge smart TV perfect for your living room

The 65-inch QLED panel uses quantum dot technology to improve color brightness and saturation. The 4K resolution gives 4 times the pixel count of 1080p. This makes a noticeable difference for streaming native 4K content from Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, and other services that support the higher resolution. HDR10 expands the color and contrast range for compatible content, though it does not include Dolby Vision support, as the more expensive Roku Plus or Pro Series TVs do.

The home screen of Roku OS displays applications in a grid, allowing you to personalize the layout by moving and dropping individual tile icons. Because of its lightweight design, it experiences less lag and slower performance than most smart TV operating systems. The Roku Remote’s microphone supports both voice commands and searches, allowing you to find movies across multiple apps, including Netflix, Hulu, and any available free options.

Three HDMI ports cover most living room setups, with enough inputs for a game console, streaming device backup, and a soundbar or A/V receiver. The single USB port can play media files from a flash drive or an external hard drive without a separate streaming device. Built-in Bluetooth supports wireless headphones for private listening, which is useful for late-night watching without bothering anyone else in the house. The TV also works with Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant for voice control through compatible smart home devices.

Roku Smart Picture automatically chooses one of five picture modes based on what’s playing. The available modes are Low Power, Standard, Vivid, Sports, and Movie. The TV will switch to Movie for film content and to Sports for live games, adjusting settings like motion smoothing and color temperature to match the genre. You can also override the automatic selection if you want a different mode for specific content.

At $380, the Roku 65-inch Smart TV is $70 off the $450 list price. Roku OS is included with the TV, which means access to The Roku Channel and 500+ free channels, with no subscription required on top of the purchase. That puts the actual cost-to-watch lower than buying a TV with a separate streaming stick or paying for an additional service to access free content.
